Biography:

Carlos Freitas Almeida is a first-year developmental psychology graduate student in the Context and Development Lab. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Swarthmore College. His research interests broadly revolve around examining how positive parental, cultural, and neighborhood characteristics buffer against the adverse effects of poverty and disadvantage on adolescent development.
